Overview
We transformed the historic Hirachand Nemchand Vachanalaya into a vibrant cultural and community destination by preserving its legacy while introducing contemporary spaces for learning, arts, and public engagement. The redevelopment revitalized the century-old library into a multifunctional facility that serves people of all age groups.
The Challenge
The project involved redeveloping a heritage library while retaining its cultural significance and integrating modern facilities to support education, community events, and recreational activities.
Our Solution
We reimagined the existing structure through an adaptive reuse approach, introducing a modern library, children's library, music and reading spaces, lecture halls, and an open-air amphitheatre. The planning seamlessly blends heritage character with contemporary functionality, creating an accessible and dynamic public space.
