AR. SATISH JOSHI
FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
Ar. Satish Joshi graduated from J. J. College of Architecture, Mumbai (Batch of 1977). After gaining experience with prominent architectural firms in Mumbai and Pune, he established his independent practice in 1982, laying the foundation for a career defined by technical depth and professional integrity.
He was involved in the administrative building project for Sant Sawata Mali Sugar Factory at Malinagar, near Akluj, along with several housing and interior projects in Pune. In 1987, he co-founded ARCHIVISTA Consultants Pvt. Ltd. with three of his college associates. The association continued until 2005, during which several award-winning and large-scale projects were successfully designed and delivered.
In 2005, Ar. Satish Joshi and Ar. Deepak Deshchougule founded ARCHICON ASSOCIATES, later joined by Ar. Nikhil Joshi in 2013. Between 2005 and 2019, the firm delivered numerous industrial and commercial projects across Maharashtra and other states including Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, strengthening its presence in the industrial sector.
Following the retirement of Ar. Deepak Deshchougule, Ar. Satish Joshi and Ar. Nikhil Joshi now lead Archicon Design, carrying forward its legacy as an innovative, multidisciplinary design practice. He is widely respected for his client-centric approach, ethical practices, transparency in execution, and meticulous attention to detail. His professional development includes training under HUDCO, Chennai, in Laurie Baker’s sustainable construction technology, reinforcing his commitment to responsible and enduring architecture.
AR. NIKHIL JOSHI
FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER
Ar. Nikhil Joshi completed his Bachelor of Architecture from J. J. School of Architecture, Mumbai. With a strong inclination toward contemporary architecture, he began his professional journey under Ar. Sanjay Mohe in Bangalore, gaining valuable exposure to contextual design thinking and modern architectural practices.
Seeking broader experiential learning, he travelled to the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, where he contributed his architectural skills to local communities and developed a deep interest in vernacular architecture. Immersion in the region’s cultural and climatic context shaped his sensitivity toward sustainable and climate-responsive design. He later explored Auroville, known for innovation and experimentation, where he worked under French architect Ar. Satprem and gained hands-on experience in mud architecture and alternative construction techniques.
After returning to Pune, he pursued his Master’s degree in Digital and Bionic Architecture from Sinhgad College, strengthening his research-driven and technology-oriented approach. His design philosophy integrates contextual understanding with experimentation, ensuring that every project is guided by a strong central concept and executed with precision and detail.
He joined Archicon Associates in 2015 and now serves as a partner at Archicon Design alongside Ar. Satish Joshi. His work reflects a belief that architecture must remain adaptable, future-ready, and value-driven. Projects such as Jagdamba Bhavan for Prajapita Brahmakumaris, IISER’s Science Activity Centre, and the R&D Centre for Tata Motors reflect his forward-thinking approach and commitment to creating meaningful, long-lasting built environments.
