Overview
Archicon Design developed a dedicated Vendor Park Facility for Thermax to support fabrication contractors engaged in Thermax Enviro projects. Unlike a conventional manufacturing plant, the facility was planned as a functional fabrication hub focused on efficient handling of large and heavy fabricated components. The design emphasized operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless material movement while providing flexibility for future expansion.
The Challenge
Planning a cost-efficient fabrication facility capable of handling bulky and heavy components while ensuring uninterrupted movement across multiple fabrication stages and maintaining adequate space for material storage and future growth.
Our Solution
The facility was designed with a simple, process-oriented layout that prioritizes smooth material flow from raw material storage through fabrication, shot blasting, painting, and finished goods dispatch. Wide circulation paths were planned to accommodate hydra movement for heavy components, while fabrication sheds were positioned to allow future expansion at the rear. This strategy maximized the front yard for raw material and finished goods storage, creating an efficient and flexible operational environment with minimalistic architectural detailing to optimize project costs.
